Samantha Richert is an actor, educator, and fight choreographer. As an actor she has appeared with such theaters as the Huntington Theatre, Lyric Stage Company, the Nora Theatre Company, Actors' Shakespeare Project, Boston Playwrights Theatre, Gloucester Stage Company, The Gold Dust Orphans, New Repertory Theatre and the Berkshire Theatre Group. Recent productions include Gooney Bird Greene and her True Life Adventures at Wheelock Family Theatre, Dancing at Lughnasa at Gloucester Stage Company, Ripe Frenzy with New Repertory Theatre with their National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere, Hold These Truths with Lyric Stage, and Elemeno Pea with Boston Playwrights where she received an IRNE nomination for best supporting actress. She is about to dive head first as OLIVIA in Actor’s Shakespeare Projects production of Twelfth Night in collaboration with Lyric Stage Company directed by Paula Plum. Samantha is originally from California and has been a resident in the Boston area since 2008. She completed her undergraduate degree at California State University of Long Beach where she studied Michael Chekhov under Hugh O'Gorman, clown, mask and Lecoq movement under David Bridel and Orlando Pabotoy, and Viewpoints & Directing under Anne D'Zmura. She then continue her education obtaining her Master's degree from Brandeis University studying Roy Hart and Linklater voice techniques under Marya Lowry, stage combat and certification under Robert Walsh and suzuki under Eric Hill. Samantha has continued with her extensive knowledge and background in various techniques and styles to attribute to her character development as a current actor with Actor's Equity Association and also as an educator for the New England area.
