Samantha Richert currently teaches as a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor at Northeastern University.  She teaches Introduction to Acting, Professional Voice, Acting 1, Acting 2 and helped shape Eloquent Presenter which is a class designed for Computer Science majors focusing on crafting communication and overall presentation skills through theatrical techniques of being present, improvisation and living in the moment.

Through this work, Samantha has also taught Improv in a more business approach numerous years with IIDA New England and their Emerging Leaders Network Program. She has also taken classes with Theatrical Intimacy Education (TIE) in an attempt to have a clearer view and teaching involving consent, permission and rights through confidence and comfort.

Samantha has also taught various workshops and classes for several youth organizations and schools in the Boston area.  Classes range from Movement, Character Development, Clown, Voice, Suzuki and Stage Combat. She has taught for North Shore Music Theatre, Wheelock Family Theatre, Greater Boston Stage’s young Company, Newton South High School, Canton High School, Roosevelt Elementary School and others.

Samantha is available for audition coaching and prepping, as well as for offices and individuals looking to better their presentational and oratory skills. Anxiety and nervousness when presenting are extremely common, through breathing and focus control exercises, anyone can change that anxiousness and excitement to do a great job. Samantha has an extensive background in various techniques and training styles and implements them into her course studies.  She has a detailed background in Michael Chekhov work, and uses this in exploring characters through working with emotions, atmosphere, environment, animal and psychological gesture work.  She also pulls from her background in clown and mask work when exploring characters and with training in Laban, Lecoq, Viewpoints, Roy Hart, Linklater and Feldenkrais inclusion of the body along with the voice becomes essential in crafting a character.
